IN/EX

IN/EX (2020) is a collaborative project between myself, Daniel Randall and Georgia Graham. We propose to create an immersive environment through the use of mixed reality (XR). Combining each of our tangible practices, we are creating a series of surreal digital landscapes in an attempt to arouse the participants subconscious. Recently we have obtained a mentoring and bursary scheme with Collusion, supported by Art Council England it has drastically kickstarted the project. We are responding to the current climate, hoping to transport an accessible AR world into the viewers' homes.

Base Room

These images demonstrate the concept of the base room. The participant will enter and return to said structure to access the multiple surreal landscapes, each time the structure will evolve and reshape generating new portals.

Colour

This illustrates our initial experimentation with colour. Each environment will attempt to provoke an evocative experience through its unique choice of tone, hue and line. Whether that experience energises or immerses the viewer into a space of tranquillity, we want to provide a moment of escapism.
