Bloody Plastic (2018) is a short collaborative film co-directed with Kim Ryan. From designing sets to making the costume, we aimed to produce an atmospheric surreal demonstration provoking thought as to mankind’s overuse of plastic. We wanted to raise the critical issues of plastic in our culture in a way that viewers can relate to. Another aspect of our project was designing two installations where our film was exhibited. We used elements from the environment of the film and brought them out. Curating the installation in a way the viewer can have a sense of exploration, themselves becoming an involved participant.
